Wait. A Tuesday Throwdown challenge sponsored by Kitty Bee Design. Excited! What? The challenge is to use ribbon or lace? Thanks for catching me before I hit the floor... The mere mention of either makes me weak in the knees.
Luckily, Kitty Bee provided such a cute image to work with that my panic immediately subsided. Snow Penguin is the digital stamp I worked with, too cute for words and seeing that snowball took me back in time, to days of being so bundled it was hard to bend let alone walk or dodge snowballs.
I actually used 3 ribbons, yes I said 3. Here's a photo of what I used.

I know, hard to believe!
First colored the image with Copics and while I know penguins don't need snowsuits, I colored as if he was wearing one. Successfully fought my urge to draw a zipper on the little guy. Ribbon was cut and pieced onto scarf (not an easy feat), flowers were trimmed off another ribbon and applied to the snowballs at the top and string ends of his hat. Glitter applied to the snowball. Cut him out and mounted to white card with a piece of designer paper as background.
Finishing touches are snowballs I made and stacked in a pile, a piece of chipboard colored with Copic, stamped with sentiment and a piece of ribbon knotted through the hole for mounting.
He makes me smile and I love the bright colors. What do you think?
Now that I've talked your ear off, it's time for you to check out Kitty Bee Design and join us at Tuesday Throwdown for challenge 370, ribbon and lace. I need the inspiration you provide 😀.
