PIP Challenge 1807 - Bugaboo Stamps

Critters, critters every where! True if you've come to visit from the PIP challenge blog. Our theme is critters and I promise you'll find lots of fun ones to play with at Bugaboo Stamps, our delightful sponsor this week. Be sure to play along for a chance to win a $12.00 gift card at Bugaboo!

I picked Winter Bird for my card and he's on sale if you want to grab him. Copics were used for coloring and opaque white glitter for the snow. Backing paper and sentiment from The Angel Company.

I dedicate this card to all the snowbirds in my life and there are plenty.

Time for me to get some beauty sleep so I'm leaving with a sincere request to check out the Design Team creations along with Bugaboo Stamps. Don't forget to head back to the PIP challenge blog for a chance to win the prize. Think of all the goodies you could get.

Tuesday Throwdown Challenge 376 - Anything Goes

Welcome everyone. Time for a new Tuesday Throwdown challenge. Our sponsor is Lawn Fawn and it's anything goes. If you aren't familiar with Lawn Fawn, they are a craft company that offers polymer stamps, stickers, dies, paper and twine. The stamps are cute and fun to work with.

Lawn Fawn allowed me to pick a stamp set to showcase and I picked "Critters Ever After". My color palette is green, pink, and blue. While I stamped and colored all the images, I am only using the dragon, castle and one sentiment on this card. After coloring, I fussy cut the images and added the coordinating dies for this set to my future shopping list!

The background panel is canvas cardstock to which I adhered a piece of Fantasy Film a friend had given me to play with. The canvas gives great texture and the film colors of yellow, pink and a touch of blue compliment the colors in the images. A scrap grass die cut was added to anchor the castle. While I wanted to stamp the sentiment onto the card, my daughter persuaded me to use a scrap of white cardstock with turquoise ink. To soften the white, some pink ink was used for "edging" .

I love the happy feeling I get looking at this card.

Thanks to Lawn Fawn For letting me play with their product and sponsoring the Tuesday Throwdown challenge this week. Time for me to go and for you to check out our sponsor and the Design Team's creations on the challenge blog. Don't forget to enter your creations for a chance to win.

PIP Challenge 1802 January 15 - Limited Runs Digital Stamps

Hello Monday! Time to get your mojo going and join us at the PIP challenge this week. It's anything goes and sponsored by Limited Runs Digital Stamps. You can also find them on Facebook, Limited Runs Digital Stamps where they have a never ending challenge among others. How cool is that!

I am using Birds On A Wire which is shown in the second set on this page. When I saw the cat in a bird costume, my mind immediately went to my two felines and their attempts to lure birds closer to the windows they perch in. Tongue in cheek, this scene also dictated my sentiment, though you do get some awfully good ones with the set.

Everything is colored with Copics, cut with a small border (sadly noticed I forgot to cut out around kitty's legs.) Stamped a few happy clouds in blue onto a bright yellow piece of cardstock which was mounted to blue cardstock, the same color as kitty's feathers, and mounted both on white cardstock cut to make a 4" x 8" card. Birds and wire are attached with Zot 3D dots and zip lines.

Before I go, just a few gentle reminders. Don't forget to oogle the rest of the Design Team creations, check out Limited Runs Digital Stamps offerings and enter the challenge. Winner gets 3 digis from the shop!

Tuesday Throwdown Challenge 374 - Layer It Up

Has everyone gotten use to writing 2018 yet? Sadly, I caught myself writing 2015 twice this year and I have no clue why. That said, welcome to my first blog post for Tuesday Throwdown of 2018! Our sponsor is Sweet n Sassy, a family owned, Christian based company that offers both digital and clear stamps, dies, and bible journaling supplies.

Sweet n Sassy supplied Rose Blossom to the Design Team. I colored with Copics and fussy cut a small border. The card base is white, cut for a finished size of 6 x 6" . The background panel is a piece of white cardstock treated with Versa Mark ink and Perfect Pearls powder. When dried, it was embossed with "the birds" embossing folder. That's really not the name, just what I like to call it. A slightly larger piece of black cardstock was punched with a wrought iron corner punch (that really is the name) and the embossed paper was inserted into the slots created by the punch. Rose Blossom was mounted with foam tape to the background.

Again, no sentiment as I will keep until I need a quick card, letting the occasion dictate the sentiment. Don't you just love when a card can be used so many ways?

Enough gab from me. Time for you to get crafty and enter the Tuesday Throwdown challenge. If it's new  images you are yearning for, be sure to check out
Sweet n Sassy; their deal and discount section keeps drawing me back...just don't tell my hubby.
