PIP Challenge 1816 Sasayaki Glitter

How was your weekend? Mine was so much better than last weekend and the prolific snowfall. Blue skies, cool temperatures and birds singing just do something so positive for one's outlook!

Another positive for one's outlook is crafting. So for the sake of your outlook (sanity) come play with us at the PIP challenge blog. Our sponsor this week is Sasayaki Glitter and she's offering a digital stamp to this week's winner. Bet your outlook is even better, right?

Naz kindly provided the image I used, Mia's Graduation. Kept things simple and colored everything with Prismacolor pencils except the skin. Just haven't mastered skin tone I like with pencils so I used Copics.

She was die cut (Nellie Snellen die) and edged with VersaMagic Mango Madness. Background paper is from DCMV's Fun in the Sun glitter pack. I die cut a section at the bottom, creating negative space for the sentiment, using Dotted Pattern - Scallop Frames from Studio Katia. Applied background paper to a white card and stamped sentiment. Mia is attached with foam tape.

Time for me to go so do yourself a favor and check out Sasayaki Glitter. She has great images and they are really versatile.   Pick an image or two and get crafty; just don't forget to share with everyone at the PIP challenge this week. We love seeing your entries.

Pencil: 916 Yellow Canary, 919 Non-photo Blue, 1030 Raspberry, 943 Burnt Ochre, 109 Prussian Green, 1033 Orange Mineral, 937 Tuscan Red, 994 Process Red.
Copics: E50, E51 and R11

Tuesday Throwdown Challenge 369 So Very Thankful

Tuesday Throwdown time, challenge 369 and Sasayaki Glitter is our gracious sponsor. So very thankful is the theme and one I love to work with.

I've written in the past that I find something, no matter how small, every day to be thankful for. Good days it's easy peasy, bad days it might take a bit more effort. No matter what, it's always attainable and on those bad days, it's amazing how often it resets your outlook the rest of that day. With that in mind I created my card.

Dorrie is the digi I am using from Sasayaki Glitter and I love her simple, down home look. Her face is colored with Copics, rest of image in polychromo pencils. Semi fussy cut and mounted with Zot 3D glue dots on a purple card. Sentiment is two individual stamps, one on the left and one on the right of Dorrie for visual balance. Sweet, simple and true.

I am thankful to Sasayaki Glitter for sponsoring this challenge, the ladies at Tuesday Throwdown for letting me play with them and to those who stop to check my posts and leave their comment (I really do look forward to your thoughts.)

Please join us at Tuesday Throwdown this week with your ideas of So very thankful. I'd be thankful if you would check out Sasayaki Glitter where there are ample images to fuel your creative fire!

Parting thought:
It doesn't matter if the glass is half empty or half full. Be thankful you have a glass and grateful there's something in it.

PIP Challenge 1716 April 17 - Sasayaki Glitter

Happy day after Easter and what a glorious day it was! Weather was perfect and while not with extended family, I still had those near and dear with me. Now if we could just stop this silly bug from passing among us. I certainly hope open windows yesterday aired them out.

It's Monday and that means playtime at Pammie's Inky Pinkies challenge blog.  This week's sponsor is Sasayaki Glitter and she has kindly offered the winner a digi of choice. Be sure to check out her etsy shop and on facebook at Sasayaki Glitter Digital Stamps.  The image I used is Smile.

I knew as soon as I saw her that I would be matching her with a favorite sentiment fromGinger's House. Colored with Copics, a bit of glitter and some Amuse Studio Stardust Finishing Spray applied at random to background with a cotton ball, MS Teardrop Lace border punch on contrast paper and I have a special card for a special person. Seriously love this card in person, not sure photo does it justice.

Short and sweet, so not like me I know. Just giving you time to go shopping and get creative. Challenge is issued so don't forget to enter!

Tuesday Throwdown Challenge 333 - Thinking of You

It's Tuesday and time for a Tuesday Throwdown challenge with our sponsor Sasayaki Glitter Digital Stamps. The theme this week is "thinking of you" and I am using her adorable image Shy and Froggie.

This cutie is colored with Copics and then cut with a small border. I was fortunate enough to find two sheets of card stock that are almost a perfect match to my coloring. I know, I know ...  I should plan the papers and then color but I love coloring to much to think that far ahead. The blue panel was punched on one edge with Martha Stewart's Trellis Punch. Shy and Froggie were added along with some greenery, hopefully giving you the feeling of them being in the great outdoors. Sentiment stamp (The Angel Company) added to upper right for balance.

Still a fairly clean and simple card and I'm loving this duo!

Thanks for stopping by and please be sure to visit our sponsor, Sasayaki Glitter, and enter your creation in the Tuesday Throwdown Challenge 333.

I like to think this parting thought is true:

Someone remembers, someone cares;
Your name is whispered in someone’s prayers.

PIP Challenge 1706 Feb 6 - Sasayaki Glitter

Welcome to another PIP challenge, this week our sponsor is Sasayaki Glitter. She has some of the cutest images at her Etsy store. I actually couldn't make up my mind between the two images we were provided so... I used them both!

First up is: Mouse and Hedgehog.  I couldn't resist coloring Mr. Hedgehog like a porcupine with all those wonderful "quills" on his back.  I colored with Copics and the numbers will be listed at the end. A bit of detail cutting, including separating the mouse from the image so I could mount him back a bit to observe the butterfly landing on the nose. Papers are from DCWV's "Nana's Kitchen" stack. The sign is cut from one of those sheets and hung with a bit of wire and an enamel eyelet. Everything is mounted to a white 5 x7" card blank.

Next up is Winter Flamingos, which I really had a grand time coloring! Again Copics were used and colors listed below. The die is "Puzzle Effect" from Spellbinders and paper is from The Angel Company (no longer in business.) Small snowflake is from my stash I created a few weeks ago. A bit of glitter and white flocking were used on the snow/snowflakes and glaze on their eyes. The blue card base is 6 x 6" (finished size) of Bazzil paper  I hope you get as big of a kick out of these snow "loving" birds as I do. I can safely state that these birds will soon be thawing as they are on their way to Florida for sand, surf and sun.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed the end result as much as I did in creating. Don't forgot to check out Sasayaki Glitter and join us on the PIP Challenge this week. Remember, anything goes!
